Post RDC Turbo Tuesday Thoughts

As I sat in housekeeping, I didn’t know what to expect from myself last Tuesday. I had started eating well again but still feel sluggish, lazy. It really is like I’ve hit the reset button these days, my body doesn’t feel as strong as it used to be but I wanted to try. I wanted to push myself. I looked on and began to relay our motto in my head just before P said what he had to say and knew I had to jump back into the Cheetah crew.

We started a bit slow, which I was fine with. I just needed to hang on right? The RDC Youngers are ahead and I’m still hanging on. We got to the secret graffiti tunnel just south of the river and were ready to depart again. I’m running smooth, trying to focus. I wasn’t talking much either, that really annoyed me because I try to be social to ease the nerves but it just wasn’t happening today.
I told Michael about running smart and tactically. Making sure that those last few miles in a race or any run are your best. Before I knew it we were nearly back at 1948 and people with the rocket boots on went flying ahead! I did my best to keep up and still finished strong.
It’s going to be a long process to get back into the thick of things but I’m ready for the challenge!
