Track Of The Day #7
Artist: Blu and Exile | Track: In Remembrance of Me | Album: Below The Heavens  Blu & Exile are my favourite duo in music. I have written about their record Below the Heavens before on the youngers blog. Blu really takes you on a journey in this song and it grips me in my seat for 4 enjoyable minutes. Blu’s last verse is simply sublime and rounds off a near perfect song. Enjoy below.

Have you?
Have you picked up this months copy of Runners World? This month they had an amazing feature called ‘the best 80 things in running’ take note of that title. ‘Things’ in running. To name a few of the ‘things’ the list consists of products, races, top performers, people and much more. It provides an intimate view into the world of running and managed to feature...

Go Hard Or Go Home
rundemcrew2: Season 8 kicked into gear with a bang  last night as we headed east towards the Olympic stadium. With longer evenings it’s now light enough to hit the canals and last night saw the crew doing da ting in the hidden depths of East London. Shouts to the officers of the law who helped us on our way after our slight detour and everyone who reached the session. Read More Such an...

Youngers X RWD Mag
The project is being taken to new heights this year. Run Dem Crew have teamed up with RWD Mag to spread the word about what we’re trying to achieve in the UK. I’m extremely excited to be working with this new group of young people and can’t wait to see what the project brings. My aims have always been the same since I started this blog and that’s to help others. This...

Runner's World thinks Charlie Dark is a Hero.  →
shutupandrun: I certainly think he is.  Charlie Dark, found of Run Dem Crew, is an inspiration in the running community and a great friend.  And he can make a mean salmon marinade!  Pow. Pow. Robin sums it up greatly. Eternal big ups for Mr Dark!

Track Of The Day #7
Do you ever look at the last played you played a song you really like on iTunes and think ‘how has it been that long?’ I do. I can’t believe I haven’t even played this track in 2012. Little Brother provided me with one of the best performances I have ever seen in the flesh at the Jazz Café back in 2009 and my love for them has only grown since then. Check it out. Artist:...

London Marathon Countdown #6
The race is tomorrow. TOMORROW. Fast forward 24 hours from now and I hope to be drunk off beer and life. Let us hope that we can make that a reality, okay?! I’m going to have a little stat breakdown to recap in a different way. I hope these posts have provided not only a physical image for everyone but a mental one too of what training has been like for me and my peers. [[MORE]] I have...

London Marathon Countdown #5
Here we are, nearly at the day of the race. I like to think back of the sacrifices we make when training for a marathon or any event similar. As much as I hated my training plan, it’s helped me become a better person and aiding my journey into adulthood. Please note that doing this marathon is a big thing for me. I can’t stress that enough. When you commit to this thing, it is a big...

London Marathon Countdown #4
Whilst training I’ve taken part in two races. The Paris and Berlin half marathons, they were both great experiences that have helped me as a runner but there was a race before both of these that really shaped me into the runner that I am today. There was this one experience during Run To The Beat last year that funnily enough, happened when I was at my worst. [[MORE]] This race course...

London Marathon Countdown #3
Training just becomes a part of life. It’s a part of my routine now and me and my friends have adjusted to it. People know that I run in the evening during the week and in the morning on the weekends. The life I suddenly find myself living reminds me of Haruki Murakami. I remember reading that book and thinking that he was crazy for running everyday… [[MORE]] But life can’t...

London Marathon Countdown #2
Training is coming thick and fast but my body has adjusted. It’s the mental aspect of everything that I don’t think many of us are prepared for when we train for these sort of events. We look at plans and don’t factor in the strain it can bring upon someone to not see their close friends and family regularly. That’s the hard part of marathon training. The loneliness. ...
