You Can, You Will & You Are Doing This

Hidden behind the walls of Nike HQ are an unsung bunch of people who go by the name of EKINS and whenever a new product drops they travel the land demonstrating it’s powers and making sure that we understand it’s full potential. With each new intake of RDC Youngers we make sure we have a session with the EKINS who come in to  explain the virtues of NIke + and other ways to record their progress. It’s always a fun session and at the last one earlier in the year we met Gemma Hillier or @gemhilly as she’s known on twitter. Gemma was an instant hit with the Youngers and really went out of her way to make them feel welcomed to the family. Add her super fast times on the track and you have an EKIN who is a true inspiration to everyone who meets her. Yesterday this video pooped onto our radar and I realised that the Gemma they are talking about is the Gemma we know from the EKIN team. It’s an amazing video for an amazing person and I dare you to watch it and not be moved. Gemma is currently battling lymphoma and she needs our support. All of the Nike family came together to make this video and show the love and support they have for Gemma. She’s an important young lady and we need her back in full health ripping up the track and inspiring those around her. Watch, share and follow her story here . I’ve always had a nice word to say about Gemma. I remember hearing her talk about the athletes and coaches that inspired her and couldn’t help but be moved. We need more influential  confident and strong young people like Gemma around, especially when it comes to the Youngers.
