I’ll keep this one short and sweet because if anyone really wanted to list all the highlights of the year then I would be typing away for hours. My main moment last year was training for the London Marathon. I followed my training plan to a T, ate right and worked extremely hard. It all paid off on race day. After that I was stuck in a post Marathon slump that I’m still trying to get out of.
2012 was a year of huge ups and huge downs for me but nobody can take away what it felt like to run that race last year. Nobody.
Below I’ve put some other important moments for me too.
Seeing my Grandmother during the Marathon on the embankment, I will never forget that moment.
Pacing my girlfriend Veema through the Amsterdam Half Marathon, I’m so proud of her. She went from strength to strength in that race.
Working for Nike & Modelling for them more than once!
Gaining weight after the London Marathon and losing that fitness that felt so good. (I will get fit again)
And I survived the year, can’t forget that it was supposed to end last year!
This is the last batch of pictures from the London Marathon back in April. It starts off with me seeing the finish, then me photobombing the hell out of Claires life (Claire, I am sorry) then moving swiftly on to gun fingers and bling.
This is what starts today. I have to jump in at week 8 but lets do this. I think I’ve only been happy on a couple of runs lately, and those were long distance runs, that’s where I find my peace. If I can do this Marathon in September then there’s nothing I can’t do!
So yesterday I remembered the ballot thing or whatever it’s called opened for the Ldn Marathon, as a runner of any kind I think there’s always some sort of aspiration to run in an event like this one. So yeah, I entered, no guaranteed place or anything and I won’t find out if I do or do not get that place for quite some time but I hope I get a place…it’s the effin’ London Marathon.
Here you will find the ramblings of a runner. I've changed my lifestyle, I wanted to be a healthier, fitter person and now that's what I am! You can do it too.
I'm here to help and motivate you to get running! It's never too late to start running.
I'm a young man that's trying to be the best that I can be and seeing what happens afterwards. So far it's taken me across Europe to run races and even finish the Virgin London Marathon, there's more to come though, stay tuned!
